any place to donate without shipping costs? it will cost me $20 to ship to Minnesota (ASAA)

6/1/2016, 9:51:39 AM

Hi Luisa, To the best of my knowledge, the Reggie White Foundation and Second Wind CPAP may pay for shipping but it depends on the type of device or supplies you are donating (they may pay shipping for a newer model CPAP if they can refurbish it). You will need to contact each organization to find out more. Hope this helps. Please let me know what you find out. jrodriguez@sleepdr.com

    Hi,
I would like to donate a used cpap device to a co-workers son who is between insurance and trying to start a new job. He was in the hospital for something unrelated and they observed his sleep apnea and now he can’t sleep due to anxiety from know about his recent diagnoses. Can I legally donate it to him without being liable?
    Thanks

  11. Julia Rodriguez Reply

Hi Ken. That’s a great and very thoughtful question. A machine can be used by more than one person if it is sanitized properly. The biggest issue with getting equipment from a family member of friend is that the “patient” may not be under the care of a physician, have a prescription, or even know the proper settings or how to use the device. I suggest having him talk to his physician and trying to find a local equipment provider who is willing to set this device, clean it and provide training. Equipment providers dispense used equipment from time-to-time and if he explains the situation, they may be able to help. Especially if he’s in the market for replacement CPAP supplies from time-to-time. Good luck!

I have a Respironics BiPAP Auto Series M w/heated humidifier that I would like to donate and maybe (it’s stored in the garage and I will try to access it soon) an older Respironics BiPAP machine, as well as lots of supplies such as tubing. filters, humidifiers, etc. — some in original packaging and some opened; and masks — some in original packaging, many opened just to try on and some slightly used. I want a one-stop donations place for all of it and none of the listed places seem to be that. The closest to what I am seeking would be the description you gave of thedme.org, but you say: “not accepting CPAP donations at this time” — just my luck. I live in the Santa Barbara, CA area and thought there was a place with the words “… of Southern California” in its name, but can’t find it now. By the time I load everything up, it’ll be a substantial box and weigh a lot to mail or UPS. Any suggestions other than the places on your site?

I would like to donate some unused CPAP/COPD medications. These were my husband’s medications, and he passed away last year. They are not expired. They are Ipatropium Bromide .5 mg and Albuterol Sulfate 3mg. I’d like to donate them to a needy organization in South Carolina. Thanks

I have two used CPCP machines and new tubing and nasal pillows, and a few additional things. The one CPAP is a ResMed, S7 Eli9te and the other is a newer model of Respironics, a REMstar Pro M-Series with C-Flex. Each of the machines has the humidifier as well. I hate to just put them in recycling for electronics if there is someone who can use them Is there some organization in the Nashville Tennessee area that works with people who could use these? I appreciate your reply.

Hi, I have a Philips Dreamstation CPAP machine, unused filters, hoses, face masks and nasal pillows, most still in original packaging. Please let me know who would accept this as a donation in New Jersey. Thank you!

    • Carol Reply

      Marisa,

I just spoke with Phillips this morning and the Dreamstation has been recalled. If you contact them they will ask your serial number & if yours is a recall, they send you a new replacement machine & you send the old one to them in a box they send you. Their number is 877-907-7508. Good luck!

Hello I have been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and I can not afford the cost of a CPAP. I am 58 and near retirement age so I will be losing my insurance. I can scrape up enough money to pay for one outright without having to rent at $75 per week in Anchorage, Alaska. Please contact me if you have any CPAPS available.
      Thank you.

I have a lot of small N20 masks and filters that we no longer need. They all are still in the plastic bags they were delivered in, brand new. Instead of throwing these away, is there a place that I can send them to so another person can use them? I am located in Indiana. If there is a place to donate in Indiana tgat would be great as well.

    Hello,
I have 20 filters, 1 reusable filter holder & 1 water chamber. Are are from the recalled dreamstation. I no longer have the machine. I am not sure if the supplies are compatible with other machines. I would rather they be given or donated instead of trashed.

I have 2 or 3 older cpap machines and various unused, sealed and unsealed masks with headgear, as well as sealed tubing. I would like to donate them but don’t want to pay for shipping. The machines are over 6 years old; probably older. The tubing is fairly recent. I hate to waste them, but they’re going to be trashed soon if I can’t easily find someone who wants them. My wife & I both use CPAPs and have accumulated a lot of unopened CPAP supplies as well as much slightly used supplies. We would like to donate these to a charity organization who would give them to individuals in need. We live in Naperville, IL (SW suburb of Chicago) and would prefer to donate to someone in our area.

I have a lightly used ResMed S9 CPAP with an H5i water attachment. It was used by my wife who was uncomfortable with it and all PAP devices, hence the low wear. It is in the travel case including original documentation dated 5/2015.

I have a used, ResMed AirSense 10 machine that stopped working and I got a new one. The old one has all its parts and I think could be repaired for someone to use I own it so can donate it. I’m on sicial security so can’t pay to have it fixed. Where might I donate this machine, which us still in production and parts and supplies are still available for it? It also has the electrical connections, a tank and the case.

I have a number of CPAP supplies that are unused/new with most still in their original packaging as follows:
4 Respironics System One Series 60 water tanks; 1 open pkg all are new/unused.
1 Dream Station One water tank, new/unused open pkg
4 packages (2 filters each) System One style ultrafine filters unopened
3 packages (1 filter each) System One style foam filters unopened
2 packages (2 filters each) Dream Station One style ultrafine filters unopened
2 packages (1filter each) Dream Station One style reusable filters unopened
    4 15 mm tubes unopened
    2 22mm tubes unopened
1 F&P Simplus Full Face seal unopened
2 F&P Simplus Full Face masks new/unused open pkg
3 F&P Simplus Full Face masks w/headgear unopened
When I complete going through what I have and get my new insurance settled I may have additional masks and tubes to add to the above list. They would all be new/unused and likely unopened packages.

Are you interested in these items? As I am on a limited income, I would need assistance with shipping cost but I would want nothing but a receipt for any items I send you.

    Hello,
I periodically find sealed/unopened CPAP supplies (masks, replacement cushions, tubing) in my business as a “picker” of secondhand goods. I can’t reasonably purchase and ship these with no compensation, but I’m happy to sell them at a steep discount to anyone who needs them. It seems criminal that these things should be landfilled when people need them.
This isn’t a machine that could be broken, and everything is sealed, so there’s no contamination, but the medical equipment monopoly has nevertheless blocked sales by individuals on Amazon, Ebay, and Facebook marketplace. Anyone with information about how to connect with those who need them or who have interest in purchasing for a modest price, please contact me. I’m in Lancaster, PA. Thanks!
